Prayers

Navajo Prayer

We honor the Earth

I’m its child.

Child of the everlasting life

Walk in beauty

Then goes the Sky

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then is the mountain

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then female water death

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the darkness night sky

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the pre-dawn and moon

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the talking spirits

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the growling deities

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the white corn

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the yellow corn

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the corn pollen

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

Then the bugs that make the soil

That has everlasting life

And walk in beauty

We honor the Earth

I’m its grandchild.
